RGB Color System Demonstration

In the RGB system of color representation, a color is represented by the intensity of the three additive primary colors: red, green, and blue, with each value ranging from 0 to 255. Here are the encodings for some familiar colors:

The applet displayed below lets you experiment with the effects of various RGB values. You can set the intensity of a particular primary either by moving the appropriate slider or by typing a new value in the appropriate box. After typing a new value, be sure to press "enter" or "return" to have it take effect.
