Prepare reaction
tube
o Add reactants to tube; never more than
1/3 full
o Add mini stirring bar
o Cap securely with disposable pressure cap
If the screen is
scrolling, then the reactor is in standby mode. You must put the reactor into ready mode
o Press Home
button
o Scroll to USER, then press enter
To run a
reaction from the ready mode
o Put the reaction tube into the reactor
then press the Discover button
o Scroll to Standard, then press enter
o Press Set
Temperature button
o Scroll up or down to desired reaction
temperature, then press enter
o Press Set
Time button
o Scroll up or down to set desired minutes
for the reaction
o
Optional Scroll right to get into the seconds
field
o
Scroll
up or down to set desired seconds
o Press enter
to set the timer
o Press Run
button to start reactor
o
A warning
message appears: Save modified method before running!
o Scroll to No, then press enter
